ElitechLab Sevilla contacted us to develop a videogame created in a world of fantasy where popcorn is the protagonist. It was designed as a promo for their client Cinépolis México, who along with Grupo Alimentario Herdez, wanted a powerful digital device to advertise and engage their customers in the launch of their tasty Palomitas con Sabor a Cine (Popcorn that taste like Movies) from theatres to supermarket aisles.
It was required to play very easily, have very attractive graphics and allow promotions and Facebook or Cinépolis ID registration. I chose Unity3D as development platform given its quick iteration and portability to both iOS y Android.
We agreed with our clients, by showing them example project pictures, to use a texture-less low-poly style which afforded rapid development as well as the required performance for a wider range of mobile devices (and thus customer base-ROI), while keeping and attractive and up-to-date look.
This is a solo programmer solo artist project developed in the span of only three months. We also gave assistance to our customer in the clean interfaces that allowed their connection to back-end promotions and Facebook registration.
